About Me
When you need an adventure, information, inspiration, a friend, or a distraction, books are always there
Some of my earliest memories are of my great aunt taking me to the little library in her town, where we’d check out books on tape- Robin Hood was always a favorite. As I grew up and moved to different cities, I always found myself drawn to the local library. Each one had its own character, but all shared a cozy atmosphere that invited you to explore, learn, and find comfort- whatever you needed in that moment.

Later in life, I noticed a pattern in my own reading: I was often seeking out books that revisited my favorite themes or premises. That search would frequently lead me to new favorites, and over time I realized I was building quite a collection of lists in my head. It felt natural to begin sharing those lists here, in case others might be on the same kind of quest.

I should note that I am not a literature expert, and this site won't feature deep literary analysis or critique. My recommendations center around the reader experience- what the general concept of the book is and whether I enjoyed reading it.

If only I had made different choices...
This premise focuses on how one's life might have played out differently if different choices had been made. The individual plots might center around saving someone, saving a relationship, one's own health and/or happiness, but the universal thread is whether one could have avoided current problem(s) by taking a different path. This might be through changing one key decision or through a cascade of decisions that occur through "re-living" a certain part of one's life.
A common theme is that each potential timeline has its own set of positives and problems, and erasing a regret doesn't always result in the life we expected.
